In November 2021, Barnes & Noble West Virginia selected The LiTEArary Society for its holiday book drive.  We received thousands of brand-new books as donations and were able to donate a book to each and every child in Head Start programs in Monongalia, Mingo and McDowell counties, as well as every child in foster care in the West Virginia Children’s Home Society Region 1.  Our members gift-wrapped every book at our “All Hands on Deck- Gift Wrapping Extravaganza Holiday Party” so that every child could experience the joy of unwrapping a present and finding a brand new book.  Our event was sponsored by the Waterfront Marriott who generously donated space and also by Starbucks, Inc., who put the “TEA” in LiTEArary and generously donated enough tea for this event and a year’s worth of meetings!
